Best Health for Everyone

Events

As part of our approach to ensure local people, patients and carers have the opportunity to share their views and experiences of using health services as well as the chance to help shape health services for the future. We organise regular community events and activities out in the community.

If you are part of a group or organisation and you would like for someone from the Patient and Public Engagement team to come and talk to you, simply email faheem.sheikh@coventrypct.nhs.uk or call 024 7624 6199.

I am currently planning the next PPI conference, which will be focusing Coventry Clinical Commissioning Groups, along with Patient and Public Involvement in improving the quality of health care.

There will also an opportunity to receive an update from Coventry LINk on the developments of HealthWatch following on from the last PPI Conference which took place on the 20th October 2011. If you have any questions about the event please contact the PPI Team on 02476 246099

We want to hear from you, on how patients, public and carers can be better involved and influence on decisions about the health services that are commissioned for local people. If you would like to attend we would appreciate it if you could let us know so that we have an idea of numbers for lunch.

Please either telephone Wilma Bristow on tel. 024 7624 6099 or email wilma.bristow@coventrypct.nhs.uk to book a place.

There will be a limit of 100 places available, so please contact Wilma as soon as possible to make sure of getting a place. Feel free to forward this letters to colleagues who you feel may also be interested in attending.

  • Commissioning
Process by which the health needs of the local population are identified. Priorities for investment are set and appropriate services are purchased and evaluated. Primary Care Trusts do not provide all of the healthcare services needed by the local population, they buy-in or commission services from other provider organisations. Typically this includes local hospitals.
