Best Health for Everyone

Download to get the right treatment

NHS Coventry has launched a mobile phone application to help people to get the right treatment and make best use of local NHS services.

The innovative application uses GPS positioning to locate nearby health services for the user including hospitals, GP surgeries, pharmacies and the Walk in Centre - all with contact details and opening times.

For people with an iPhone, the application can be downloaded for free through iTunes or for people who have an Android phone, via the Android Market - simply search for NHS Coventry.

The app has been launched by NHS Coventry in support of a major campaign to educate local people on the choices they should make to get the best treatment or advice, and reduce pressure on Accident and Emergency (A&E) services.

By making better choices people can save themselves time by being treated quicker instead of having to wait for hours in an A&E department and those NHS staff can be freed up to treat critically ill patients.

The app will be updated in the New Year with details of how people can get free condoms, STI testing, emergency contraception and Chlamydia screens. A future update will include details of local stop smoking clinics.
Use the following link to download the app free through iTunes.
