NHS Coventry’s Communications Team leads on the production of a number of key publications that serve to get across key strategic and health promotion messages.  

These include:  

Citivision
NHS Coventry and Coventry City Council have joined forces to produce a quarterly magazine which combines health news and community messages, as well as news from other partners from around the city. 

Primary Care Focus
Bi-monthly magazine distributed directly to GP surgeries and pharmacies. Contains latest service development, pathway redesign and performance/contracting news. Also shared with PCT staff as an additional communications tool.

Involvement Update
Distributed to circa 1,500 people on PCT’s PPI database, sent to health centres, clinics and GP surgeries. Quarterly publication.  Feedback tool on impact of engagement work in Coventry as well as details of was to get involved/have your say.   

Annual Report 2009-10
Key statutory document published each year for Annual General Meeting and sent to key stakeholders/partners in Coventry. Copies sent to all independent contractors and commissioned services.

Student Guide
Annual publication signposting new students arriving in the city to health services. Also includes key health promotion messages around sexual health, diet, smoking, alcohol and mental health. Sent to all students at Coventry and Warwick universities.  

The Communications Team also supports the PCT in the production of other ad hoc documents, leaflets and marketing materials in line with NHS best practice guidelines for producing patient information and the PCT’s Policy on Producing Patient Information.

  • PCT
    Primary Care Trust. A PCT is responsible for commissioning the most appropriate services for the local community.
  • GP
    GP stands for General Practitioner. GPs are family doctors.
