‘ASC’ Pharmacies

The ‘ASC’ service provides free emergency contraception, pregnancy testing and condoms to women ages 25 and under. Some also offer Chlamydia screening.
Look for the ‘ASC’ or ‘Got it?’ sign in your local pharmacy window   There are over 30 pharmacies in the scheme.

ISHS CLINIC (Integrated Sexual Health Services)

What do they provide?
Advice, testing and treatment for allsexual health problems including:

  • Testing and treatment for STIs and HIV
  • Free condoms
  • Pregnancy testing
  • Provision of the full range of contraceptive methods

The ISH Clinic runs by appointment or drop in.To book an appointment call 0300 020 0027.

The drop in service is from 8.30am every Monday -Friday (first come first served basis)

You can also drop in to the Coventry andWarwickshireHospital on Saturdays between 11am - 4.30pm for a Fast Track sexual health screen.We have amixture ofdrop in or booked contraception clinics on Saturdays too.

We also have a dedicated Young Person's clinic whereyou can get a sexual health screen AND address yourcontraceptive needs (please call formore information)

The One Stop Shop is going to be temporarily moving its services sometime in November 2010. We will bere-locating to - The Coventry Foyer, Holyhead Court Lower Holyhead Road, Coventry, CV1 3AX.

C-CARD

What do they provide?
The c-card is a scheme that offers FREE condoms and Chlamydia screening for 13 – 25 year olds. To access free condoms as part of the C-card scheme you need to ‘Register’, which means going along to a registration point and have a confidential chat with a c-card worker. You will then be given a c-card key fob which means you can access free condoms and Chlamydia screening from venues throughout Coventry. C-card workers can also offer information and advice about Sexual Health. It is free and confidential and is aimed at helping you! So if you want to speak to someone about sex and relationships, c-card workers are there to help.  

Where and when can I get a c-card?

The c-card is available at different places and different times all over the city. You can choose the place you feel most comfortable accessing the scheme. For a full list of venues in your area check out: www.got-it.org.uk/c-card  
Venues that offer the c-card near the city centre are:

CRASAC (Coventry Rape and Sexual Abuse Centre)

What do they provide?

  • Telephone helpline service offering support and information to female and male survivors of rape and sexual violence, their carers, supporters and professionals (all ages).
  • Face-to-face and group counselling for female survivors of rape, female partners and carers of survivors (from age 11).
  • Face to face counselling for girls and boys aged 5 to 18 who have experienced sexual violence of any kind.
  • Independent Sexual Violence Advisor Service which provides emotional and practical support to female and male survivors of rape and sexual violence (from age 11). This service also provides support to victims who report or wish to report to the Police and go through the criminal justice system.

Terrence Higgins Trust

What do they provide?
Information, advice and support on sexual health and HIV issues. Specialist service for Africans, gay, lesbian and bisexual communities, female sex workers and young people living with HIV.

Godiva Young Gay men and Lesbians (GYGL)
