Smoking
Giving up smoking is the single most important thing you can do to improve your health, especially if you are trying to conceive.
Smoking, and even breathing in second-hand smoke, can cause infertility and early menopause in women and sperm problems in men. It is also linked to poor health for babies, including premature birth, low birth weight and breathing problems during the first year of life. So it is a good idea for both parents to try to quit before you become pregnant.
There are many NHS stop smoking services available across Coventry and you are four times more likely to quit if you use NHS support rather than trying to do it alone.
Visit the stop smoking section of this website or call: 0800 051 1310 (Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm) to find out which stop smoking service is the best for you.
